Richie Righteous' "R.I.C.H" is unquestionably the most underrated hip hop album of 2009 so far, plain and simple. Any fan of the genre would be committing a great disservice against themselves by failing to add this work to their collection.

Richie's love for the savior is clear, and it's refreshing to witness someone fight for the preservation of truth with such a blunt and straight forward approach. "Who You Represent" is composed of a series of razor sharp lines engulfed in a beat that will have you feeling like you're boldly marching towards the front lines of spiritual battle. I am not exaggerating when I say that nearly every single bar that Rich drops in the song is quote worthy.

Also of particular interest to me was Rich's personal testimony offered on "I Need You In My Life." Like a good action movie, the song leaves the listener on the edge of their seat, waiting to hear what happens next. The chorus is exceptional and infuses me with a desire to praise the Lord.

Be sure to give "Resting in Christ's Hands", Can't Take it With You", "What the World Needs Now", Patiently Waiting, and "Salvation 101" special attention as well. Though all in all, the entire album can be played all the way through again and again.

This work does an excellent job of drawing a line in the sand of right versus wrong while also encouraging the listener to give praise to Christ. What more could you ask for? DO NOT - I repeat - DO NOT pass this one up. It has earned a 9.5 out of 10 rating from CHHReview.com (Christian Hip Hop Review - a site where Christian Hip Hop albums are reviewed and recommended.) which also translates to the album being a Platinum Medal Winner. This is no small feat.

Here is a detailed breakdown of the album, where each individual song is rated:

1. They Call Me R.I.C.H - 9/10
2. Prayer For the Youth - 8.5/10
3. Do Wut It Do - 8.5/10
4. M.R.I - 9/10
5. Resting In Christ's Hands ft. Valerie Boyd - 9.5/10
6. Can't Take It With You - 9.5/10
7. I Need You In My Life - 10/10
8. Who You Represent? - 10/10
9. What the World Needs Now - 10/10
10. New York, New York - 8.5/10
11. Patiently Waiting - 9.5/10
12. 101 Interlude - no rating
13. Salvation 101 - 9.5/10
14. Independent Artist - 9/10
15. Can't Take It With You (Remix) - 9/10
16. The Interview - no rating

Yo Rich, your album is sick!!!! Man I have Censorship and I thought that was good until I heard "Do Wut It Do" and then "Represent", those joints are on repeat! But the whole album ministers and I praise God that there are Christian rappers out in vineyard who are truly relevant in their music and ministry, while upholding the integrity of God's Word by living what they preach/rap about. Great job Fam!!

Awesome job on this album. The production is tight, the beats are tight, the rhymes are tight...everything is on point. From the first track to the last I'm loving this project. I've been telling everyone I know...even playing it during Bible study, and got people asking "Who is that and where can I get it."

This album is definitely great. It's done on a level that is missing CHH/HHH and I'm not quite sure why ANONYMOUS would even dare say this isn't something that can be played on somebody's death bed...MRI...Salvation 101...Can't Take It With You? Who exactly do you think these songs are meant for ANONYMOUS??? GOD IS SOVEREIGN!! THIS ALBUM IS THE TRUTH!!

Nice CD

The Bible says that a Christian ought to come out from among the world and "be ye seperate". Where's the seperation at in your music? If a person were lying on there deathbed dying, would you play them your music? Does it minister to the heart or the flesh?

Album is hot!!
